In this 21st century, most people know about affiliate links. Peculiarly people do not want you to gain profit. My personal motto is always “quality over quantity”. For me that saying should apply to almost everything you do with maybe a few exceptions. It most definitely applies in the case of link building. Getting thousands of links to your site doesn’t guarantee you anything. It is possible to leapfrog your competitors on the search pages with half the links that they might have. You have to ask yourself some questions such as: What is the value of your links? Where are these links coming from etc.?
When it comes to links there are many attributes that you want to look at. Probably the most popular thing people look at when trying to build links is Page Rank. The higher the links Page Rank is the better. Another important link factor is how many links are on the page of the site that the link is coming from. The more links on that page the less value you will be getting. The link value will be spread out amongst all of those links and less potent.
The relevance of your links is very important. You need to build links from sites that are in your industry or related to it. Getting links from websites that have quality and unique content is very valuable. You do not want links coming from spammy pages with spun content as they can be penalized by the search engines.
