Hot Apple Cider with Rum

1 apple
2 teaspoon whole cloves
1 orange, thinly sliced
2 quarts apple cider
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon allspice
pinch grated nutmeg
1 cup dark rum
cinnamon sticks, garnish
Stud the apple with cloves. Combing studded apple with other ingredients except rum and bring to a simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and add rum and discard apple. Serve with a cinnamon stick.
Spiced Hard Cider Punch

1 cup hot water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh ginger
7 whole cloves
1 stick cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1 quart hard cider
1/2 cup applejack
1/2 cup brandy
8 slices Gala, Braeburn or Red Delicious apple
Add sugar, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg to pan with water and boil. Simmer for about 20 minutes with lid over pan. Remove from heat and strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a non-reactive bowl. Once cooled, add cider, applejack and brandy. Stir and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 5 days. Serve with an apple slice.
American Pie Cocktail

2 cups ice
1/2 cup whiskey
1/2 cup apple liqueur
1 cup cranberry juice
Optional apple slices
Cranberry Bog Cocktail

4 ounces champagne
1 ounce cranberry juice
cranberries
mint leaves
Grand Champagne Cocktail

4 shots orange-flavored liqueur
4 teaspoons honey
4 fresh strawberries
1 bottled chilled champagne
Add orange-flavored liqueur, honey and strawberries to food processor and process until smooth. Fill glasses halfway with mix, then add champagne.
Mulled Red Wine Sangria

1 bottle Spanish red table wine
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup brandy
3 tablespoons sugar
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
Combine wine, juice, brandy and sugar in saucepan. Heat on low until sugar has melted. Add the orange and lemon slices and let simmer for five minutes.
